Great Batteries which I use in my running headlamp, my 10 fiber optic testers, fluke network testers etc. The major drawback is that you can't charge 8 or 16 at a time and because there are no Duracell 9 volt rechargeable batteries.
I have to use endless 9 volt batteries while the AAAs and AAs keep on going which is a pain if one in the middle of work project. I am going to have to invest in the Jackery Pro to power a 110 volt power strip and multiple Duracell Chargers in a row. Converting to AC and back to DC wastes energy. Duracell should offer a DC higher voltage recharge option off of the Jackery Pro so I can charge large amounts of AA batteries at a time. A few years ago (2008 to be more exact) I decided to try rechargeable batteries again, now that batteries started to switch to longer lasting battery technology. I started with energizer and it failed badly so I waited about 2 more years before I tried Duracell.
I had gotten a wireless headset and was going through about 2 AA batteries a day. I tried Duracell rechargeable batteries and it worked like it was supposed to. I started buying the rechargeable cells about 3 years ago and still have some of those in circulation to this very day (6/28/2016). They have lost a very slight bit of life but this is to be expected as these are rechargeable cells and usually die off after 500 cycles. The quality in these are next to none when being compared to other cells in its class. Now, i want to address those individuals who are experiencing poor quality or bad quality cells. First off, in mass production this sort of thing happens and the Duracell company understands this and will replace the defective cell. They have done so with me when i had a few bad cells right out of the package.
Outstanding customer service goes a long way. Secondly, let me address to those certain people who don't have the knowledge of rechargeable cells. You can not drain these completely to 0% and expect these to recharge and give full performance. These type of cells were not designed this way. This ignorance of knowledge is not the manufactors fault.this is what is called 'user error'.
A little research into a product before buying the product goes a long way. Just because you have a 'Smart Charger' does not mean you are completely secure in ensuring the long life of the rechargeable batteries. Common knowledge is very helpful in this situation. I'm suprised that none of these cells vented because some people out there don't use caution.
